These organizations are an easy way to get settled fast in Gildenhirst. They offer lodging, camraderie, and may have specific quests from time to time. The guilds of Gildenhirst attract people from all across the world, having ties to a few major locations. They help maintain the city when they are not off on adventures.
Joining a guild does incur a monthly fee for general upkeep. Joining a guild is also completely optional! Read on to decide if joining a guild is for ~you~.
While there are some smaller guild offshoots through out the city, there are
three main guilds that characters can choose to join. They each have their own characteristics and agendas, but there are amenities that are universal between all three of them that you can expect no matter which one is chosen.
LODGING
Each guild offers lodging for its members. They offer dorm-esque suites attached to a shared common area. Each room has 3-4 beds and a small washroom. Generally the occupants are mixed and first-come-first-served to different guildmembers. A decided party can claim their own room for themselves.
[Floorplan?]
There is a dining floor where guildmembers can get food cooked by the guild cook during certain times of the day. Adventures are not always on a timeschedule though, but never fear. The kitchen is open at any time to cook your own meals should you so choose.
Established parties are also given a Magic Tent to share on their adventures. Magic tents are lightweight and fold down impossibly small, making them the perfect traveling companion. Their interiors are surprisingly large, with room for four comfy bedrolls and space for activities. The magic keeps monsters away so you can sleep soundly, and they're climate controlled! Cool in the summer, warm in the winter. They’re your home away from home! It's almost as if they've been tailor made for your adventures.

PRACTICE ROOM
New job class? Looking for a spar? Guilds have a large space just for flexing your new skills. It’s important to stretch before you work out, and it’s just as important to give your new jobs a spin before diving straight into battle. Finding out your aim is shit is a lot easier to bear in a controlled environment rather than the heat of the moment after all.
Or don’t. You do you. The room is there for anyone regardless. (Guild members can invite a non-guild member in for the practice room.)
Healing classes need only wait around a little while for a chance to try their new skills out.
CITY UPKEEP
Each guild has a specific zone that they look after in the city, but they are not limited to their zones or those specific tasks. City upkeep involves things like firefighting, repair work, and forest patrols to keep rogue random encounters at bay. If there is a crisis, guilds are usually the first to leap to help. This is the home they have built, after all, and not everyone that lives there is equipped to handle these things! A town of adventurers it may be, but there are plenty of non-adventuring civilians that call Gildenhirst home as well.

The Appling Groves guild makes their home up in the Rooftop Gardens. Everything about the guild is lush and rustic, with plants and flowers wherever plants and flowers can fit. Its guildmaster is very particular about its upkeep, even if it seems a bit wild at times. They uniquely feature a robust green house that is free for guild members to use.
They look after the First Tree and its many branches, making sure the tree’s health is doing well and that the tree-top city is sound.
Appling Groves members receive dark green tents, and receive sister city discounts in Florem on lodging.

The Storm Chasers base of operations is a bit on the fringes of the city, tucked in by the Norende River. Their home is a charming blend of wood and metal, looking like a slightly more modern lodge as it stands alone from the rest of the surrounding architecture.
They often patrol the edges of the city, making sure the main roads are clear of wandering kobolds for safe journeys. Despite this, they often have their eyes on the sky: the guild features an observatory, and has a very large hand in the local hot air balloon procession in the summer.
Storm Chasers members receive indigo tents, and receive sister city discounts in Ancheim on lodging.

Deep in the heart of the Ground Floor, the Whirling Whizgig’s guild is built underneath the winding stairs of the city into the cliffs themselves. Smooth stone and brass make up a large deal of the guild– it’s always a bit cozy in there. Certainly that has a lot to do with the forge workshop at the center of it all. If you ever wondered about the mystery vents of steam and smoke coming from parts of the cliffside, well. There you have it. Guild members are free to use the forge or tinker in the workshop, though be warned the guildmaster will be very much up in your business to know what you are working on. [Affectionate.]
They are responsible for most of the Ground Floor, making sure structures are sound and that there are no safety issues concerning the cliff. (Or their own hobbies.)
Whirling Whizgig members receive burgundy tents, and receive sister city discounts in Hartschild on lodging.
